| By the way... did you know of the zune limitation? Zune has a beam feature that sounds cool... you can send files for example music wirelessly from one zune to another... what they DONT say... I found this out by chance... is that they have DRM in that feature, that allows you to play a file that has been beamed only 3 times.... Zune is a vista era product... and what is vista? Vista is stupid! ha! |

| Re: By the way... did you know of the zune limitation? I must emphasis that they don't talk about this feature.. it should be written clearly on the package, and the consumers should be aware before they buy... are they hiding this so they can sell lots of zunes this Christmas? Then after 3 times you play the file.. you are in for a surprise! | Re: By the way... did you know of the zune limitation? 3X or 3 days but that's the tip of the ice berg of Zune limit. They slapped it together to get it out for Christmas and it was a long way from finished. | Re: By the way... did you know of the zune limitation? It's even more strict then that. It's "3 times" OR 3 days, which ever comes first. Also, that's exactly how it should be. What did you expect? To give all your music to everyone you know for free? Don't like it? Don't buy it. Also, as mentioned in another thread there will ALWAYS be a away around DRM and any other security: http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/porta...drm-217042.php "Red nosed reindeer" <-> wrote in message news:O5ysVRSLHHA.1248@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Zune has a beam feature that sounds cool... > > you can send files for example music wirelessly from one zune to > another... > > what they DONT say... | Re: By the way... did you know of the zune limitation? Ditto, my Sony MP3 player does just that and with no BS software in which you are restricted to. Although that's been hacked on the Zune as well. Either way both ipod and zune are a total waste of money for what they actually do. But then again, people spend $200+ on jeans so go figure. | Re: By the way... did you know of the zune limitation? You ignore the fact that to buy a Zune at all you have to pay for the wireless and yet the wireless is useless. Even worse, go to a Zune display in a store or a Zune ad in a magazine. Both tout the wireless capability but neither mention the limitations. It is fraud and people end up paying for features that they cannot use as advertised. Rather than putting in hamstrung wireless, they should have just left it out. That would have prevented the lies necessary to sell it. Dale "Justin" <None@None.com> wrote in message news:OUx6rYpLHHA.1276@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > It's even more strict then that. | Re: By the way... did you know of the zune limitation? Your assumptions as a consumer are not MS's problem. The unit works as advertised and does exactly what it's supposed to do. You can share music, bottom line. Buyer beware, buyers remorse, take your pick. Research before you buy. Just because the wireless feature is useless to you does not mean it's useless to everyone else. You claim consumers can not use the Zune as advertised. Show us where it states all shared music is permanent. Your claim is unjustified and false. While I do not like the Zune, the one feature I like the most is the wireless sharing. You get to let a friend listen to something a few times so they get the chance to see if they like it. That's a very powerful and impressive feature. For those that like it, for those that don't....stuff ****.
