Watched Newsgroup Posts When I Haven't Chose To

I am using Microsoft Mail as a newsgroup reader, however I have found that
it displays some posts as watched, even though I haven't chose to 'watch'
them.

Anyone else experienced this?

Are they posts on a thread initiated by you?

Check Tools > Options > Advanced > Mark Threads I Start as 'Watched'

You might have accidentally clicked by the message. I've done that before.
All you have to do to select a message as watched is click on the column in
front of the message.

No, there were some posts I have no interest in. I will monitor and try to
work out what's going on.

Of course, there is always the possibility I have watched them accidently,
however I find it unlikely as I have been using newsgroups for approx. 13
years and have never experienced this before.
