Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Module is not working corrently w/Vist

Just installed Vista Ultimate RTM on an Dell Inspiron 9300 with Dell Wireless
350 Bluetooth Module and I can't seem to get the Bluetooth to function. This
is not mission-critical, but I am still curious why this happens.

The device is being detected and the following drivers are installed:

* Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator
* Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Module

However, the "bluetooth" indicator above the keyboard just keeps blinking
and when you attempt to discover the device, it never finds anything. Same
attempts on a Mac Mini nearby succeed.

I've searched both Microsoft and Dell support boards and it appears I am not
alone. Can anybody offer any words of advice on how to fix this?

Dmitri,

At this point-nope-sorry
Have the same Bluetooth card, and until Toshiba and Dell work it out-no
luck.
I've contacted Dell, they keep saying-in the future.
One thing of note-I've heard that you need to turn off(disable) the MSFT
one-for the Dell one to work.
Don't know about that though.
I'm still waiting on Dell and Toshiba(the Dell 350 card uses the Toshiba
Bluetooth stack)

Re: Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Module is not working corrently w/

Thanks, Jeff. Happy New Year!

As FYI, I tried the new Toshiba stack
(http://www.toshiba-tro.de/tools/bluetooth/51001/51001-ww.zip?Submit=Download),
but it can't seem to find the card -- gets stuck in "Please plug in the
adapter" phase. Looks like Microsoft, Toshiba, and Dell folks get their work
cut out for them in 2007 :)
