NightOwl, how did you share calendar

I want to share calendar between users on the same computer. NightOwl posted
this and fixed it himself but didn't say how. Can NightOwl or someone else
help me?

I published my calendar from the admin account but when I try and find it
from other users I am undable to browse to it. Vista only allows browsing
for websites but even when I type the path I can't find it.

Please help.

Kyle

RE: NightOwl, how did you share calendar

OK, I jumped the gun. Like NightOwl I solved my problem. Here is how I did
it.

After publishing my calendar (from Admin acct) to my hard drive, I then went
into properties and gave all users on my computer full acces (read, write,
modify, etc). Here I am sure you could restrict users if you didn't want the
kids messing with it.

Then I went into my user account and opened up calendar there. From there I
first went to "Import Calendar". The main reason I did this was because I
could use "Browse" to find the exact location and Windows friendly
adress/location.

From that "Import" window I then copied the exact location of the calendar I
wanted to share.

Then I cancelled (or can import and then delete) the import and went back to
calendar.

From there I then "subscribed" to my admin calendar by pasting the location
I had previously copied.

It worked great and everyone can see all the appts etc. I have it updating
daily to keep everyone up to speed. However, only time will tell how the
reminders etc work and if I can add appts from the user accts.

The other solution is to simply "import" the admin calendar on a regular
basis. I think this would work as well but haven't tried.

Hope this helps someone else.

Kyle
