Bye Bye Vista - Hello SUSE!

Okay, just for everyone's knowledge, Vista has this annoying habit of
asking if I want to save a password. On my sites, I have several with
similar domains and differnt passwords. Vista mucks them up.

This - plus an annoying habit of locking up on a regular basis -
decided me that I'd just simply go with SUSE 10.2 and create a VMWare
XP machine. So, last night I painlessly installed 10.2 on my laptop
(which went flawlessley) and am now up on KDE. Even my multimedia keys
are recognized without any involvement by me.

Nice work, Novell.

Better luck next time, Microsoft.

Please enlighten this n00b why said saving of passwords is so annoying.
I find this a VERY handy feature (XP Pro)

Yeah, after trying Ubuntu and setting the DPI correctly in Gnome (from 96
to 85, which is my monitor's true value) I decided that I'll install it
this weekend. Then I can *finally* use the true power of the AMD64 CPU.

Ok, so how the double toothpicks do you pronounce it?
I always thought it was pronounced the way it's phonetically spelled,
which is with a long U like Dr. Seuss, but I have a friend that
insists that it's pronounced with a long E like "Suzie"
Which is it?

ROTFL!

Keep in mind, I'm now indemnified from teh lawyerz at MS who will sue
your ass for those so-called patents.

Of course, I'd like to have someone actually show me software. If they
can hold it up in front of me, I'll believe in patents. Until then, it is
just copyright...

I tried Ubuntu...

....gave it up after about five minutes. Wasn't refined enough for me. I
like to use my system, not constantly have to tweak it.
