| Re-defining the shutdown buttons Could I redefine the middle button to mean "Logoff", and remove the rightmost button? -- .~. Might, Courage, Vision, SINCERITY. | Re: Re-defining the shutdown buttons Likely not. But you can do this. Why not just place a shortcut on your desktop for logoff. Browse to C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe Right click, go to "send to" | "desktop create shortcut" After it has been created, rename the shortcut to Logoff User. Then go to the shortcut's properties and paste the following: "C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe /l /t 002" in the target line. This will logoff the computer after 2 seconds. -- Regards, Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User (For email, remove the obvious from my address) Quote from George Ankner: If you knew as much as you think you know, You would realize that you don't know what you thought you knew!
