Moving a laptop while in Sleep mode

Hello all,
I have a laptop running windows Vista, and I'm wondering if when it is put
in Sleep mode, it is safe to move the laptop, or if it should be
hibernating/shut down? I need to move my laptop a lot in school, and I don't
want to take any risks with it.
Thanks
Alex

Laptops are designed to be moved. Sleep mode should be fine.

Re: Moving a laptop while in Sleep mode

Your hard drive will stop in sleep mode, enabling you to move it without
creating any gyroscopic stresses.
No need to hibernate unless you're looking for longer down-time.
