| windows update won't install Windows update tell me there is a download for my PhotoSmart 8400 series printer and it downloads it and tries to install but then I get a message saying that the file could not be installed. Doesn't give much more info than that. I've tried installing three different times with no success! Any advise? TIA Paula |

| Re: windows update won't install Apparently, 80070103 stands for "Windows has determined that the selected driver is not the best driver for your machine." Drivers for printers etc are best obtained direct from the manufacturer, and not via Windows Update. -- Jane, not plain ;) 64 bit enabled :-) Batteries not included. | Re: windows update won't install Hmmmmm strange that it would tell me there is a driver available for my specific machine and then say that it is not the best driver for my machine but whatever....I will check the HP web site and forget windows update.
