| Can't place cursor or tab into "password" fields I'm trying to help my mother-in-law configure her new HP computer with Vista. Unfortunately, I'm 3,000 miles away, am using XP myself, and have to do this by phone. She keeps having this problem of not being able to click into, or tab into a Password field. A re-boot this morning fixed the first problem (not being able to enter the isp password to connect to the internet). But when she tried to sign-in to her Yahoo account, she couldn't enter anything. She could click and enter her username, but couldn't get to the password field. Is there something about Vista that could be preventing this action? How can I help her fix it? Thanks! C |

| Re: Can't place cursor or tab into "password" fields My first suspicion in a case like that would be malware/spyware. I would have her run a scan asap. -- A Professional Amateur...If anyone knew it all, none of would be here! | Re: Can't place cursor or tab into "password" fields I don't have an answer to your question...however, I do long-distance tech support for relatives too. I use "LogMeIn" remote access/control (www.logmein.com). It's free (with limited functionality...but more than enough for my purposes) and has cut way down on troubleshooting time. In your case, it may help solve your problem because I have found that a remote person's verbal description of the problem does not always match with reality.
