Deleting System Backups

GDay All,

I made a backup of my Vista installation to my G: drive. This took 40gb of
space which I needed temporarily, so I deleted the windows backup folder
from my G: drive.

Now, I'd like to make another backup to my G: drive, but 'Backup and
Restore' insists that I don't have enough space on the drive, even though I
do. It seems that 'Backup and Restore' has marked the space as used by the
previous backup and it won't give it back!

I have tried doing a 'cleanup' of all restore points/shadow copies on all my
drives, but the problem persists.

How do I resolve this issue?

Andrew Mackie

Re: Deleting System Backups

How much free space do you have on your G drive and your source drive(s)?
Also, can you give the exact error message you receive? To my knowledge
Backup does not reserve disk space. I think something else is likely going
on here.
