Change window appearance

Hello. I have posted the question about changing the font size, tooltip size,
etc. It used to be found in the computer properties and then appearance. When
I do this:

Right click the desktop, select Personalize, then "Window Color and
Appearance", finally select "Open Classic Appearance Properties ...".

I get the old window and I make the changes like I did in Windows 2000 and
then nothing really changes. Example, I asked the tooltips to be size 16 and
bright green backgrounds and in Office 2007 nothing happened to the tooltips.
I asked the menus to be size 16 and nothing happened. I need these changes
for visibility. Any ideas how to make this happen?

Thanks. Sheri

Re: Change window appearance

I have found that if you click the Apply button after EACH change they will be
remembered.
