Screen rotation 180 degrees

Help.

I feel like an idiot.

I put my telephone book on my keyboard and all of a sudden my screen (22"
LCD widescreen) rotated 180 degrees. Right now I am working with my screen
turned upside down. I cant find out which keys to hit to turn it back.

Help.

FRED

Re: Screen rotation 180 degrees

Place the phone book on the keyboard again. OR, go to your video card
control panel and find the rotate function. Then put the display back to
where it should be.

It's a feature of your video card, to support using a monitor that
works in portrait orientation. Try Ctrl-Alt-Up Arrow (or sometimes
Ctrl-Shift-R).

RE: Screen rotation 180 degrees

I also feel like an idiot. I hit something on my keyboard and it flipped my
screen 180 degrees also. The solutions listed in this discussion have not
worked for me. Any other suggestions?

Re: Screen rotation 180 degrees

Use the same phonebook again. (-:

Really, go to your video driver controls and look for the rotation control.
It is an option provided by Nvidia. I don't know about ATI.

Re: Screen rotation 180 degrees

If the keystrokes don't work, here's the old fashioned way.

Right click an empty area of your deskotp, select Properties. On that, go
to the Settings tab, then press the Advanced button.

Look for a tab with a video card maker's name - ATI or nVidia. Select that
tab and poke around till you find a control for screen rotation. Select
normal orientation.

Re: Screen rotation 180 degrees

I tried the new instruction I have Vista, I got as far as pressing the
advance tab, I looked for video card or ATT or Vidiaa I had no luck. I messed
around with the tablet and I was able to change the screen but not straight
up and down, it switched to the other side, this is frustrating but also
funny, I appreaciate your patients and help. I am still looking for a
solution.
I am taking a break for now,

Re: Screen rotation 180 degrees

For vista it works like this: Right click, chose graphics options, and then
rotation. Then click normal - not all that easy with upside down screen
though!
