| Web pages are not automaticaly resizing Just bought a new computer, and continued using my old LCD monitor. Although now I'm using it with a DVI lead. When bring up webpages the text is small, particularly on sites like the BBC and Yahoo, where there is lots of space on the screen to the right that is just not filled. I believe that the problem is something to do with resolutions, and that they normally resize to fit the screen. This isn't happening on my computer, and in general, everything seems to be a lot smaller. Is there an option where I can get pages to automatically resize to the size of the screen? |

I've always seen that as much simpler than trying to interpret every weird font out there. Or make your own style sheet. And format the entire web in colors styles, and sizes. doesn't work with text on an image. -- more pix @ http://members.toast.net/cbminfo/index.html |

Whoever coded it decided that it looks best, say, 800 pisels wide, so if your window is 1024 pixels you get that blank space on one or both sides. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM Do not send mail. |

| Re: Web pages are not automaticaly resizing Thanks. I appeciate what you are saying about the coding. However normally a site like the BBC or Yahoo would resize itself to fill the screen. It did that automatically with the same monitor last week, so it must be a problem at my end, not with the web page. So either something has changed with the monitor (new DVI cable, or differerent settings on a new computer), or maybe it's a graphic card issue. I'm at a loss, and it's really frustrating as it's not comfortable to read. > > The problem is usually the coding on the page.
