Windows Upgrade Anytime

I upgraded from Vista Home Premium to Vista Ultimate. My question is:
The recovery that is located on Drive D: - is that as of the upgrade or is
that still the original factory install.

The second question is if I copy Recovery from D: to an external HD can I
delete Recovery and use that space for something else?

Thanks

Re: Windows Upgrade Anytime

The recovery partition will be as set from the factory, no upgrade
will change that.

As for your 2nd question, yes you could then use the space for
something else.
But I think what you really meant is can you still use the copied
recovery data from a different drive.
I doubt it, but ask the computer manufacturer for details.

Did you get recovery CD/DVD media with the computer?
Or can you make the media?
Or can you order the media for free or small fee?
You need to do at least one of the above since at some time you WILL
need toe media.

Re: Windows Upgrade Anytime

Yes - I got a recovery CD with my PC. However, if my PC crashes how do I
reinstall my upgraded OS?
