IE and Firefox conflict

When ever I go to a web page from my desktop I get a pop-up saying IE cannot
open this page. I'm using firefox and the page comes up but the pop-up comes
up first. Really bugs me. There are 2 other users with firefox as their
default and they don't have that problem. I'm running Vista home premeim.

Re: IE and Firefox conflict

kittridge1,

By any chance are these web sites secure sites, such as bank account sites
that begin with 'https' or all sites? I had this problem with Firefox & IE7
with all secure https sites being blocked. It was due to my Antivirus
program (Kaspersky IS 6) checking all encrypted connections. Check your
Antivirus network settings for any encrypted sites being scanned. Set it to
'Do not check encrypted connections' or similar to that. Good luck.

Drew
