In XP I import/export from outlook to and an external drive. Files
are there an ok.

I plug the drive into Vista - and it see the other files but not the
outlook pst files.

I move the files to subdirectories on the usb drive - and same issue -
Vista see the folder and files - but not hte ones I care about

Any ideas????

do you have outlook installed in vista.
might be the problem if not.

I can see the pst files when I plug the drive into another xp or into
another 98 computer - I just can't see these files under vista

so they are on the drive - and can be seen by three other computers -
except the vista one - which is where I want to copy them to

you may need to associate the files to outlook.
