Re: autoplay missing

Hi,

The flash memory will only be listed in autoplay if it's actually connected
at the time you access this control.

Re: autoplay missing

Thanks Rick,
however
my memory card reader is built in to my laptop , it's listed as
FlashMedia\MmcDevice1 and even with a card inserted it is
still not listed in autoplay. All other functions , read/write even
readyboost can be utilised. it is just autoplay i am having an
issue with.

Re: autoplay missing

Hi,

When you right click the device in Windows Explorer and select properties,
is there an autoplay tab here?

Re: autoplay missing

Hi Rick

In reply to your question, autoplay is not listed as an option when selecting
properties for the mmc device, also the mmc device is not listed at the
bottom of the autoplay options list

Re: autoplay missing

Hi,

You mentioned ReadyBoost, are you using the drive for this? Have you tried
disabling that function?

Re: autoplay missing

Hi,
Yes, i have disabled readyboost. I have also tried inserting different
memory cards.
The device is listed in device manager and explorer and all other functions
are fine.
System restore is not an option so some other fix is required.
Thanks J7DEAN
