I can understand it when people encounter a problem that should never have happened, or have tried a million things to correct a problem without success. What I can't understand are the trolls who have nothing better to do, but stir up trouble. They fall into tow groups. The first simply hate MS because it makes a lot of money. They are easy to spot with their anti-MS post titles. The second are those who use a different OS and seek converts. The adage, misery loves company is the key, here. Also, everyone likes to think they have made the right choice and the fact that there are many more Windows users challenges that. They're easily upset. <vbg> While outright name calling and vulgarity is stupid, I have to admit that twisting the tails of the trolls can be fun. Some things I've discovered are that Linux trolls avoid those who know Linux better than they do. Apple trolls are embarrassed when asked the cost of their hardware and its specs. ;-) - -- Iron Feliks Trolls are like babies. Windows trolls generally don't even know they are trolls let alone anything about Windows other than "it's the best'. Everybody that has a problem get labeled as a Microsoft hater, anybody preferring a different OS gets labeled as a troll. How simplistic and child like a view. You forgot the largest category: WHINERS, which seems to be the group you and sadly many others belong in. These are some of main sub categories: Plonkers that are so juvenile they such can't resist telling the world they just plonked somebody, always right after they got their head handed to them on a platter. They simply aren't adult enough to skip posters that bug them. The Net Cops that just have to try to tell people they shouldn't post in this group, go post in another one or do research before asking a question. Just more juvenile conduct. The 'hey you don't like it, don't use Vista' gang. A very anal group of hot heads that seem to enjoy telling people having problems moronic things like nobody forced you to buy Vista, or if you don't like it or can't get it to work, switch to something else. Guess what, right, just more juveniles. Then we have the 'it ain't Microsoft fault' Squad. Another very popular club of malcontents. They will whine all software has bugs. Don't you know writing a operating system is hard work. Wait until the service pack comes out. Why did you upgrade, if XP was running ok for you and more Microsoft ass kissing comments. Very funny group. The finger pointers club. They love to pretend Micosoft software has no bugs. They will whine endlessley it is a hardware problem, you should yell at the your hardware vendor. They will try hard to paint the person asking the question as a dummy. Yep, still more juvenile conduct. Then we have the fanboys club that blindly defends Microsoft mistakes no matter what. Then there are the outright fakers. They kind of stand out. Many are clueless MVPs or just crybabies like Justin always trying to have the last word, calling other liars or pretending they know more than everybody else. Such is how things are in newsgroups. Almost all of them. Always has been so. Either accept it, leave or whine and add to the amusement level which is afterall why most people visit groups such as these if they admit it or not. The purpose is to watch the human circus. To blow off some steam, to be amused, and every once in awhile maybe help somebody that truly has a problem. However, as most know, most posters here are looking to act up, act out, point their fingers, whine, moan and in general make fools of themselves. And they do daily. I find the show interesting and as such groups such as these serve a legimate purpose in it is THE place to express some disappointment, some anger, some frustration and just watch the show. |

People are funny. The funniest are the ones that don't have a clue how funny they are. |
