These forums are not the "Vistax64.com forums". These are Microsoft's own support newsgroups, and Vistax64 are simply leeching a copy of the newsgroup feed and including it alongside their own forums. Nothing wrong with that. But... that means that what you see here is not a nice private community of forums with people who found the site and each other through a sense of wanting to help others out, but rather a no-cost way of getting support with microsoft products through the microsoft website. Anyone who wants to complain because a Microsoft product isn't working right will probably end up here first. Anyone who wants to pick a fight over "My OS is better than yours" with Microsoft users will end up here first. Anyone who wants to sneer at Microsoft will end up here first. Anyone who wants help with fixing a minor issue will end up here first and at the moment will get drowned out by the people in other categories. That's the nature of newsgroups and usenet; everyone has an opinion and no-one has to think twice before sharing it. -- Robert Moir http://www.rhymeswithgeek.com |
