A blow torch is alaways fun.

But seriously what is the DVD going to be used for and will it only
need to be read in your DVD drive?

Back ups, Home movies, Picture slide shows, MP3's etc etc. There are
many ways to burn information to DVD's some work better for certain
things.

Put the DVD in the drive. Drag files to it. Burn

Or you could get something like Nero
