DON'T.

I have spent 2 hours killing off all the grabage that came with Vista. My
Vista computer will never see the internet. I don't need all the internet
proction software. But so far I have loaded only one program. Magix Movie
Edit 10. The program barly works, Takes forvever to load and does not
reconize the burner. Mabey MME 12 will work, but why should be buying
software to work with a new OS when I was happy with the old program.

Stay with XP!

XP is the best release from Microsoft....

it seems that MS itself did not want to learn from its fantastic success
stories
was bored of having good and stable products and said...

"lets change things around with no reason for the consumer.. just for the
heck of it!
We want to see how much silly changes will aggravate them.. its a good
experiment.

Lets call the product Vista, it will be a funny name since you wont be
seeing "views"
rather blue screens and program errors...

Also the speed will be similar to watching grass grow... YEAH lets add some
grass
grow static wallpapers... nice touch!
And to think we came up with all these nice ideas while SMOKING grass... "

Vista "an ever expanding view of internationalization" That is a joke that I
do not find very funny. I live in Sweden and bought a new Dell online and its
default language is Swedish. Dell told me to return the computer and MS said
to upgrade to ultimate. Every el prd you buy here lets you choose Eng or Sw.
So I am now looking into Linux

Yes that is true... that is an MS mistake I believe to enable that only on
ultimate....

It does not respect the internationization concept.. its misleading.

I used MUI for XP pro.. and it worked great... but now you can get those
only with Ultimate on vista...

What MS will say to you is that you didn't research the limitations.. but
they don't say that very clear..
if you don't go looking for it for some time.. you cant find that before you
buy.

And indeed linux supports all languages and is very versitile...

That's why MS should have included the MUI inside the vista disk itself,
since there is competition.

I would not leave the Swedish vista if I was you.. I would ask for a
replacement or go ahead and get the upgrade to ultimate...

that is not normally available even for sale.. however I was a system
builder some years ago, and I had the disks that were provided to me from a
company I was associated with.

I have seen them also "floating around" on the internet.. if you know what I
mean... ;-)

I dont know why MS didnt make these a free download..or at least as payware
for a minimal fee, it was a shame since many people would benefit from
them.. but as it happened not many people even knew about them.

There are also MUI for office that changes the interface languages and add
spell checkers and thesauruses etc...

Other MUI I have seen are for IE7 you can find this online for free, WMP
this too....
I think I have seen a mui for live messenger..

I see. With Ubuntu, you can change languages on the fly. I don't use
IE7, WMP 11 or Live Messenger and never will.

I guess MS was too busy with WPA and WGA to be bothered letting people
download a useful application.
