Re: Intel's Affordable Quad-Core Chip for Desktops Due in Days

If I remember correctly this is chip has two dual-cores on it. The true
quad core from Intel is scheduled for the first half of 2007 as is the true
quad core from AMD.

C'mon, Colin... standard answer is: when the next gen chip is released.
Right? Or maybe the second gen uptick... ??? Geez... you're right. LOL!

Re: Intel's Affordable Quad-Core Chip for Desktops Due in Days

This looks like a great example of why one waits for the second release of
something. I think the pure quads will perform better (the cores won't have
to communicate at FSB speed) at about the same price.
