Signature problem in Outlook 2007

Whenever I reply to an email, my signature is added, but the link in the signature appears just as text and not a hyperlink. What can I do to fix this?

Re: Signature problem in Outlook 2007

Have you set Outlook 2007 to send in HTML or Plain Text?

Open Outlook>Tools>Mail Options>Message Format select HTML

Any further queries please post

Best regards
Stuart

Even sending in plain text should render a hyperlink, unless this was a
feature "de-enhancement" in OL07.

Re: Signature problem in Outlook 2007

Hi Terry

It was a suggestion as we use Vista Ultimate and Office Professional 2007,
In Outlook 2007 we select plain text and then email and web hyperlinks
appear in plain text only. On our other machines we use XP Pro and Office
2003 Professional with exactly the same. e.g plain text only selected, no
hyperlinks are shown.

Purely a suggestion, which I hoped may be useful.

Best Regards
Stuart

Maybe it doesn't look like a link as you're composing, but on the other
end it should. I'm composing in plain text now, and inserting the text
http://www.google.com

It looks like plain text but when you see it, it will still be a link.
Are you saying OL won't do this?

Nope. I sent an email to my other email address and it doesn't show up as a hyperlink.

You could just send it here. Like this:
Here is my test link http://www.google.com
If it shows up as not a link, I'll be surprised.

Just a throught, when you tested the e-mail, did you actually open the
message or did you view it in the preview pane. Sometimes they don't show
up as hyperlinks in the preview pane but do show as such in the actual
message.

Re: Signature problem in Outlook 2007

Dear All

The original question was "Signature problem in Outlook 2007". What I was
attempting to explain is that in our case we have our email and web links
set up in our signature with plain text selected.

When we send an email we can insert a hyperlink as you all correctly point
out within the text of the message which works fine, however the email and
web links within the signature appear as plain text only, which as we
require from Tools>Options>Mail Format>Signature.

If we select HTML from Tools>Options>Mail Format> then all links both in the
message text and the signature display as a hyperlink.

I hope, this helps, if I can help further please do not hesitate to ask.

Best Regards
Stuart

Once you have set your signature, how do you put it in particular outgoing
emails? I did not select to have it print in all outgoing emails...

Re: Signature problem in Outlook 2007

I am starting to get very frustrated. When I reply, the link in my signature shows up sometimes, but not always.

Another strange thing: sometimes, when I reply to someone else, when I go to the Insert tab, I cannot add a hyperlink (the hyperlink tab is grayed out).
