When I rip song into WMP 11 on a Vista Home Premium machine the songs rip ok,
but when I play them back from the library the song ends 20 secs early. I
played the songs from the CD in WMP and the songs play correctly. I also
tested the rip and playback on an XP machine and I get the entire song. Is
there a problem with the Codec on Vista or is there an update for this
problem that I haven't found yet?

Don't use enhancements for your sound device. On the enhancements tab
of your devices properties tick off 'Disable all sound effects'.

I have turned that feature off already because it was an issue for the xp
box. However I am still getting the shortened song inside the library.
