| I like Vista, but this video glitch is a PITA! Vista Home Premium, Dell 640M laptop with core duo, 2GB RAM, Mobil Intel 945GM video chipset (integrated). WXGA+ screen. Device data says everything's working fine, including drivers. No problems with this new computer, except: The unit is set to 1440x900. Too often, when coming out of standby it will be at 1280x768. I can get the hi-res back, of course, but ??? Is there a guru out there who knows what might be going on? Ike |

| RE: I like Vista, but this video glitch is a PITA! Vista has a lot of problems when returning from sleep or hibernate. Some are Vista problems and some are video driver related. My suggestion is to keep your laptop current with all Windows Updates and visit the Intel and Dell support sites regularly to see if newer versions of your specific video driver are available.
