Sidebar opacity

I note that OPACITY is listed in the right-click menu on a friend's
Vista PC, but not here. Could that be a function of video card
capabilities? His is more robust than mine.

Re: Sidebar opacity

Right click on a Gadget, not on empty space in the sidebar.

Must have been what I saw. I had the impression that the opacity of the
sidebar panel itself was configurable. Apparently that is not so. Thanks.

Re: Sidebar opacity

I'd bet that the opacity function is tied to the ability to display the Aero
interface. I have both Aero and opacity on all my computers, but I don't
have any low-end non-Aero systems to test this hypothesis on.

No doubt, and Aero runs here. As mentioned in my earlier follow-up, I
may have misled myself...unless you see an opacity choice for the
sidebar itself, and not individual gadgets.
