| Help With Downloads I am running vista rc1 on a dell laptop im trying to download a rmvb file but the download box disappears as soon as i choose the destination to save to apparently many others are having the same problem and the only method to solve it is to reinstall ie7 why is the box disappearing? it works for .mpeg and how do you uninstall ie7 on vista? |

| Re: Help With Downloads You don't uninstall IE7 on Vista; if you were on XP SP2 you could do it per the add/remove and if needed the method in the release notes. Have you searched for the file using Vista Search above the start button? What download is it? I'm glad to download it and nail it's location if you aren't getting the option to save at a location of your choice. Try the %temp% folder by putting that in the run box and also try the Vista Drive\Users\Your Profile\App Data\Local folder and click on Temp there as well. | Re: Help With Downloads I have turned off the User Account Control under the Control Panel in Vista (User Accounts), this has seemingly stopped the problem.
