Task Scheduler 'How To'

The Task Scheduler seems to be running some tasks around 22:30 to 23:30
each day and slowing down my PC.

I fond a page on Technet which gives details of the new Task Scheduler but
I would like some more information on what 'Consolidator' and
'CrawlStartPages' etc. actually do - so I can decide if I want them to do
it and when I want them to do it. There seems to be nothing in the help
about what specific scheduled items are.

Can anybody point me to some more information on this please?

I am still struggling with this, I have disabled all the tasks that don't
seem relevant and re-booted the machine, it seems to work.

Would appreciate any pointers to exactly what these tasks are and why they
are needed if anybody can help?

Re: Task Scheduler 'How To'

did you check under Help and Support, how about using the KB at microsoft. and maybe even using Google.
there are lots of resources to help get answers that do not quickly come to you.
