Windows Media Center & Transparent Menus

Soyo SY-P4I865PE Plus DRAGON 2 motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 3.20 GHZ HT
2×1024MB pc3200 PNY RAM
Windows Vista Home Premium
PNY GeForce 7800 GS 8x AGP, 256MB (158.18 ForceWare)
PCI Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic
LG Flatron L1920P lcd monitor

Hey guys. I am getting choppy video playback when watching live tv whenever
a transparent menu appears during full screen view. Even if I hit the volume
up or down key on my keyboard, the tiny volume transparent menu is enough to
slow down the video. This does not happen during windowed mode. Any ideas
why the slowdown occurs? Is it because my processor is too weak or
something? Is there any way to disable the transparency within Windows Media
Center? Please help. Thank you!

Re: Windows Media Center & Transparent Menus

On a system with similar specs, I haven't seen this, but I rarely watch in
full screen. One difference is I have ATI graphics instead of nVidia. Have
you been keeping up with the driver-of-the-week? I also hear Creative has
driver issues still.
