| Windows Vista Home Premium- problem with media center Media Center on my computer is not gathering any new music, yet all the files on my computer have been indexed. When i first installed Vista media center gathered and indexed all of my music, but since I put it all in the Public directory, and changed the scope in media center to search only the public directories media center can not find any music or video files. Is there something wrong with media center, or the index, or the permissions? If you need more information on my computer build let me know. |

| Re: Windows Vista Home Premium- problem with media center did you look at the media player library settings. Media player is what manages the media center library and sharing permissions. Also go into network settings and make sure enable public folder sharing. | Re: Windows Vista Home Premium- problem with media center I updated Sharing, and removed and readded the public folder in vista. No music has been added. I am using Windows Live one care as my firewall, and updated and opened the sharing access to all media center options. I am currently logged in as the administrator.
