| enabling write caching on the disk Does anyone know why when I click 'enable write caching on disk' in device manager/disk drive/policies that it wont stay ticked on a vista machine? Its got an SATA disk fitted if that has any bearing. Maybe with SATA disks you cannot select disk caching could that be it? Cheers. |

This won't work if your SATA drives are configured as RAID. -- Jim |

I will continue to look for more info and will post back if I find an answer. -- Jim |

Sorry for the inaccurate info. Don't know if this will help but have you checked the motherboard manufacturer website for updated SATA controller drivers? -- Jim |
