Itunes Hibernate/shutdown Problems

First: I am using Vista Ultimate (x86) and the latest version of Itunes (as
of today).

I have noticed the following course of events:

1. First run of Vista - I run Itunes without any problems.
2. I close down Itunes and leave my computer for awhile. It goes into
Hibernation.
3. I come back to the computer and take it out of hibernation. I try to run
Itunes. Nothing comes up.
4. I now try to Shutdown my computer. It hangs after everything closes and I
am logged off.

This happens every time. I have no shutdiown problems if I never open Itunes
in the above scenario.

Is this a known problem? I know there are issues with Itunes and Vista but I
was not aware of this one. If you do know a fix for this. please let me
know.

Thanks.

John G.

Re: Itunes Hibernate/shutdown Problems

Yeah, I had this problem on an x64 laptop, except it happened even if I
didn't hibernate. When they say iTunes isn't working under Vista, they mean
it. Tread carefully - see if you can find an XP-based machine to run it on.
