turn on Advanced backup features in home premium also.

First of all the Advanced backup feature found in Windows Vista Ultimate
should have been included in Windows Vista Home Premium. How could a useful
feature be disabled in Windows Vista Home Premium. I'm sure that everyone who
own a home premium version would love to see this feature be added. Who here
would like to see Windows Complete PC Backup/restore and Windows shadow copy
to be added in Windows Vista Home Premium?

i think it would/should have been a wise pre installed feature. most
"normal" people will be using home premium and don't know how to backup
properly.

the basic backup and restore seems to be good enough for their personal
files. maybe system restore should be enough for average peoples system
files?

It was a marketing decision. Features were used to distinguish the various
SKU's. I don't think you'll see any changes in that regard. Acronis True
Image Home, version 10 works well in Vista for imaging. It images on a
partition or drive basis, does file backup, and disk cloning. Restores can
be done on a file, partition or drive basis. Images can be full,
incremental or differential. It's a nice program.

Additional, right now Newegg.com has a great price on it, $29.99 plus $4.99
shipping.

Darn, I paid $49.99 for the download. Still worth it, though, IMHO. ;-)
