I once found the way to activate the Administrator Account but now I can't

Nope, afraid that doesn't do it. Administrator has to be activated before
it will show up in the User Accounts and activating Administrator requires
going into a configuration file and activating it. I just can't remember the
name of the file.

Thanks for trying.

Re: Help - Administrator

David

I think you will only see the Administrator in Safe Mode.

Hope this helps.

You need to enable the account in the Local Users and Groups section of
Computer Management. My admin account shows as being disabled by default.

Re: Help - Administrator

Open an elevated command prompt by typing cmd into the Search box on the
Start menu, right-clicking the command prompt icon that appears at the top
of the Start menu, then selecting Run as administrator.

Then enter this command and press Enter:

Net user administrator /active:yes

To turn off:

Net user administrator /active:no

Help - Administrator

Thanks, everyone, for your help. I got the information I needed from
Microsoft this afternoon. A quick response from a very helpful and courteous
employee. I was very impressed.

If anyone is curious about the answer to the problem, the file I was looking
for was lusrmgr.msc, and then under USERS.

Thanks again for your input.
