| cursor movement Ever since I upgraded to Vista from XP I have had a problem with typing text in any given field. I hope I can explain this clearly: Problem: When I type an email I will be typing and all of the sudden the text I'm typing goes to a different part of the screen(usually at the last location I left the mouse cursor). This happens ALL of the time(usually after every 10 letters or so). This is SOOOOO annoying and has only been happening since I upgraded to Vista. Does anyone know what the problem is? It has taken me forever just to get through typing this text since I've had to make corrections all throughout it! Please help. By the way, Im using a HP laptop notebook with a touchpad, if that helps figuring out the problem. Thanks! Thanks. |

| RE: cursor movement I have EXACTLY the same problem! For me, it happens mostly when i'm typing a document using Word. That's very annoying. I hope someone finds a solution for this problem. | Re: cursor movement It usually caused by hitting the Ctrl button in error when choosing a capital and hitting the second key that then acts like a combination and can open dialogs or move the curser to another place. | Re: cursor movement I wanted to bump this post up as I have the same problem. I also had this problem when I bought my laptop last year and I called Gateway and they fixed it. I have a new laptop (both have Vista) and I can't remember how to fix the problem and Compaq hasn't a clue (after being on the phone with them for 2 hours). Anyone found a solution?
