The default gateway setting is lost when you wake a Windows Vista-based computer from sleep

Has anyone experienced this?

Yes. The solution is to allow Windows to turn off the network card to save
power on the Power Management tab for the network card. Then Windows wakes
the network card and reconnects to the Internet when you resume from
hibernation or sleep.

Thanks. I have checked and that is the case already.
Meanwhile, I have applied the hotfix mentioned in the document.
Last night the my pc did not disconnect but then I did have a
long download (250+mb at 8kbs (cheers download.com!)) running
overnight which would have prevented hibernation or sleep so doesn't
count as a valid test. Tonight, I'll leave the computer dormant and
see what occurs.
