| Firefox constantly crashes on Vista Every few days Firefox crashes and i get that usual vista error saying that it has stopped working. I reboot and sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. I've applied all known updates but seems the problem appears and disappears. Microsoft's supposed solution is to download the latest version of firefox but saying as I already have that it's not really a solution! Anyone else experiencing these firefox crashes? |

If not, you may have installed a Theme or Extension that is causing the crashes. -- Terry ***Reply Note*** Anti-spam measures are included in my email address. | Re: Firefox constantly crashes on Vista Hello Fermanagh, I would like to share your problem with the team that sends our these problem reports. I need some more information from you. Please go to Control panel -> Problem reports and solutions -> View problem history, and then double-click the problem. Please copy the report information for me, including the "Bucket ID" that should be at the bottom of the report. Thanks. |

You need to check a few things on your FF. In FF under TOOLS/OPTIONS and on the CONTENT Tab, make sure you don't have some strange settings there. For FONTS I have Times New Roman 16 and under ADVANCED The Proportional is Serif 16 Serif is Times New Roman Sans-serif is Arial Monospace is Courier New 13 Default Character is Western (ISO 8859-1) And probably most important make sure there is a tick in the ALLOW PAGES TO CHOOSE THEIR OWN FONT If none of that works and you have an LCD Monitor make sure you are running that at its native resolution and not forced to a different resolution than it wants to be. IE is more forgiving of bad coding (which isn't a good thing). But in your case I guess you're fine with using IE. The playstation site looked fine on FF here. -- Terry ***Reply Note*** Anti-spam measures are included in my email address. Delete NOSPAM from the email address after clicking Reply. |

| Re: Firefox constantly crashes on Vista I have used FF uneventfully for years, but when I installed it on my Vista OS laptop, it constantly freezes or crashes. I believe, tongue in cheek, that MS does not care for a performance browser other than the archaic IE. However, here is my log from one of the many crashes. I first started out with no addons or extensions, now I have many and it still crashes several times per day with Vista.
