| WMP11 Vista video border increase brightness Hi. When I play a video with widescreen borders it's black in normal mode but when I go fullscreen it kind of gets bleeched. Seems like the brightness increases for the borders. I was wondering, how do I fix this? Example: http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/5...lscreenyw3.gif |

| Re: WMP11 Vista video border increase brightness Hi. I have the exact same problem as you do. But I haven't found a solution for this yet, but it looks like it's the background from the navigration tool at bottom that covers the whole video border.. Tried to uninstall codec, disabled plug-ins, changed the video border color and so on.. Maybe this is a WMP11 bug.. So, if you find a solution please let me know :) System: Operating system: Windows Vista Business x86 Processor: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+ 1.80 GHz Memory: 1024 MB Graphics card: ATI Radeon X1650 |

| RE: WMP11 Vista video border increase brightness I am seeing the same issue... I think it's a glitch. I played around with it and discovered that if you turn captions ON, the grey bars turn black, but then you have captions... if you turn them off again, the black turns grey again. I think someone messed up big-time. I sometimes think MS doesn't actually USE the software they design. I'll bet they all use Macs! | Re: WMP11 Vista video border increase brightness That's a problem with overlays then, which indicates that your video card driver is probably wonky. | Re: WMP11 Vista video border increase brightness Hello, exactly the same problem, in the normal window it is ok, until I turn on "Full Screen". This does not appear with VLC or with Nero Showtime... I have a ATI Radeon X850 with the newest ATI drivers (7.4) on Vista 32bit Home Premium. I guess I will just cease using WMP until this issue is fixed. I'm hoping the next ATI drivers will fix things up. -Jukka "Jhacer" <johan_harrens********.com> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:Jhacer.2ovvj4@no-mx.tabletquestions.com... > > Hi. > > I have the exact same problem as you do. > > But I haven't found a solution for this yet, but it looks like it's the > background from the navigration tool at bottom that covers the whole > video border.. > > Tried to uninstall codec, disabled plug-ins, changed the video border > color and so on.. | Re: WMP11 Vista video border increase brightness I'm using ATI's x1950 Pro. Latest drivers from their site.. 7.4 catalyst drivers. | RE: WMP11 Vista video border increase brightness Hey. Just wanted to add that the new Ati catalyst drivers are properly working and does not show a change in the border. Seems like Vista is revealing a lot of exploiting in the coding so Ati and other folks better start doing things right now. ;) |
