Cannot stop automatic rip with WMP 11

Hi

I have a new PC, Vista pre-installed with WMP 11.0.6. I have set the
automatic Rip option to Never, I have removed the checkmark beside Rip CD
When Inserted. But if I put a CD into the PC, WMP begins to rip anyway.
Thought I had it fixed once, but as soon as I rebooted it's back to its old
tricks. What setting should I use to prevent the auto rip? Thx.

Hi Jess-

Check your AutoPlay settings in Control Panel and make sure that the setting
for "Audio CD" is not set to "Rip music from CD using Windows Media Player".

Here's a link to a Windows Vista Help topic that discusses changing AutoPlay
settings:
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...f2ac81033.mspx

I hope this helps...

Matt, that seems to be the answer. Thanks very much.
