WMP doesnt play dvd's (video) in Vista Business. However i have managed to get Power DVD 7 working, DVD Shrink. Installed Vista Codec Package, and still WMP not able to play DVD's (error message appears). WMP can play everything else except DVD's. My DVD Rom has played all my DVD's before with CSS+Region free working.

Does anyone know how to open up WMP, make it compatible or have a codec or DRM package to allow it to play DVD's?

To the post above: My System Specs are as follows:

Dell Dimension 9150 3.4GHZ,
1GB RAM,
ATI X600 256MB Graphics card,
Creative Soundblaster Live 24-bit with Logitech Z5500 5.1 Speaker system,
250GB Internal HD SATA, 750gb External Seagate HD,
Windows Vista: Business OS

Did have problems with sound originally when instlling from Windows Xp Home to Vista: Business Upgrade, sound came in stereo. Installed new sound driver from creative...same problems. Then downloaded modified drivers which caused system crash....so deleted it and then in device manager deleted USB sound Device, rebooted, then installed the Creative SB 24-bit driver from the CD provided and ran it in Windows XP compatibility mode and it worked fine...5.1 sound and all....but still no playback of DVDs in WMP 11

Any help appreciated...Neil
