windows media player 11 mini player not availible?

I have a rather unique problem. When I upgraded from media player 10 to media
player 11 I lost the ability to run the little mini player that sits on the
task bar. I've tried the right click on the taskbar and select media player
but it isn't availible in the toolbar menu. Any Ideas?

My os is windows xp pro x64

Hmm don't know about XP64. If you go to Start -> Run then type in

regsvr32 wmpband.dll

Press enter and wait for confirmation message.
Is there any change to the behaviour now ?
