Hi guys, I tried to select analogue reproduction in WMP12, since my old cdrom
(Plextor scsi) doesn't support digital reproductions, but the option appears
*ghost*.

Any idea?

Usually there would be a Mixer option available in the Volume Control
for Analog CD Audio, if that's enabled by your sound card in the
windows 7 machine.

I imagine if the input is set to Enabled, WMP would see that and allow
the Analog Audio input from the CD, via the sound card.

To be honest, I'd probably just make sure I had a machine capable of
running windows 7, which came with a DVD/CD drive inside that *was*
capable of digital audio, and not worry any more about it.

It seems arcane to me to be using analog cables in a modern PC less
than 10 years old (which was when my first 486 PC supporting digital
audio CD connection over PCI was bought)...
