If you put a CD in the drive which contains computer information - for example the Windows XP disk, can you see in windows explorer, a list of files and folders ? | Re: no cd dvd capability with windows player 11 in vista No matter what type of cd or dvd I put in the drive there is no response. It "sounds" like the drive is going back and forth mechanically seeking info like a track, but other than that there is no indication on the monitor at all. Thanks for trying to help.I can't use any of my cds, dvd or games until I can get this going again. your assistance is appreciated. -- barry constantino "Neil Smith [MVP Digital Media]" wrote: > On Fri, 30 Oct 2009 09:17:01 -0700, barry <fairport Harbor> wrote: > > >one day it worked and the nex i can not play any cd.s dvd.s or games in the > >oticaldrive. Once again, if you insert a Data CD such as a free disk from a magazine (other than an Audio CD) then look at the CD drive in windows explorer, can you see contents listed there, or not ?
