duplicate music in list

I have music stored on two different drives. Some of the music resides on
both drives, so when WMP searches for music it will pick up both. Is there
anyway to delete dups automatically?

Hi,

I'm not sure but I have a simple way to delete them manually or install PC mechanic in your PC. It will search duplicates files automatically from your PC.

It's not really going to work out if you have 2 copies as you'll
continually be telling media player to delete one copy - the
instructions for doing that (once) are here :

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...vice/0089.mspx

Synctoy2 might be one way to keep the 2 stores in Sync, at least on
the first run you should be able to delete from one side only :
http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto/do...nctoybeta.aspx

You'd want to press F3 to make sure your monitored folders were up to
date, and get media player to update its library database after
running Synctoy, it should "notice" files have been removed, and
delete them from the library listing.

HTH
Cheers - Neil
