| Media library and Media Sharing I have a complex problem with my media library which I will need to break down into smaller steps in order to solve. I hope someone in the group here can answer one question regarding remvoing unwanted items that show up in the navigation pane. In the big picture, I share and stream all of my media from Windows Home Server. Currently, music and video are not playing "nice" if at all in either WMP or VMC on the client. I am sure there are other issues but for now I would like to remove several items under the client's navigation pane in WMP so I can start with a clean slate for my music library. I have four redundant access points to my music library. I have the "My library" pointer set up by the "monitoring folders" option in WMP and three "Meida Shares" or networked pointers to virtually the same library. These three also show up under the LAN devices in the Vista Network and Sharing Center but cannot be eliminated there either. I don't know how they came to be nor can I remove them. I cannot recall setting up these devices on my client machine. How can I remove in the Navagation Pane of WMP all instances of pointers to libaries on Media Devices? |

Click the Advanced button on the Monitor Folders dialog, they should be listed there as additional libraries to monitor HTH Cheers - Neil ------------------------------------------------ Digital Media MVP : 2004-2009 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/mvpfaqs |
