I was also wondering ifrecording is possible,if a timer can be set for when
I'm not at my computer

Thanks in advance for any help that is offered

A radio interview, when put on the internet as a downloadable MP3 file
is typically called a "Podcast". So that's the term which would help
you to find all the things you need to do the recording step, as it
shares so much in common with recording for radio (including the
optimal audio settings)

This microsoft guide will almost certainly help :
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...be-a-podcaster

Jake Ludlington has several articles as well which are useful to read:

Pretty much everybody (including the MS article above) recommends
using Audiacty http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ to do the recording
and any subsequent trimming and fade-in/fade-out of the audio

HTH
