Media information in WMP mini mode

Is there any way to set the media information display to an always on mode
when WMP is in mini mode?

Currently the media information is displayed when a new file is launched or
when I run the pointer over the mini mode box. It fades out within a second
or two. I would like it to stay on all the time. Is that possible?

If not, is there a plug-in or other modification which could be used to make
this possible?

RE: Media information in WMP mini mode

What you want can probably only be done in a skin. Checkout
http://www.wmplugins.com for skins for WMP.

Re: Media information in WMP mini mode

Yep-
"You can do this in v11 by creating a REG_DWORD value named
"DeskbandFlyoutTimeout" under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\P references . If you set it
to 0x0, it'll never show up. If you set it to 0xFFFFFFFF it'll always show
up. Anything in between it'll show up for that many milliseconds. The normal
setting is I believe 3000ms. If that value is not present, the default is
used. "

You want 0xFFFFFFFF. =)
