Every time I use wmp 11 it freezes and uses all cpu memory. I can use
Realplayer for all the same files, but wmp takes 2mins to play after I click
on a file in the library. I have all my playlists saved on wmp and I rather
use it. Does anyone know what could have gone wrong, is my wmp corrupted or
something?

Does this apply to all of your files or just some?

Try ripping a CD to WMP (as MP3) and try opening those files. Do you get
the same problem?

actually things seemed to get rather hosed up here on a couple of our
computers with the addition of MP 11 and IE7..sigh...

Yes, I get the same problems. It actually takes forever to rip. It never
used to. I think WMP starts acting really slow 30 sec after I open it, even
without trying to play any songs.
