WMP 11 is frustrating me!

How do I add a single folder from another users settings without adding all
of their music?

Have the auto playlists gone for good (e.g. can I not see which tunes I
haven't heard for a while, or which ones I listen to most often?)?

Everything seemed so much more straight-forward with WMP 10 :-(

You can drag and drop that single folder onto your track list in Library
view. It kinda sucks that they took away the browse for music to add
feature. Actually, it doesn't kinda suck; it sucks a lot! I cannot think
of a single good reason for taking that away, especially considering that
you can still add media outside your monitored folders - they just made it
very difficult to do it. Another case of simplification gone awry.

In the Library view, in the list at the left, right-click Playlists and
choose Show All. Right-click again and choose Create auto playlist to
create new auto playlists. I definitely miss the separation between the two
categories of playlists.

You're absolutely right. It has been said that a major design goal of the
Windows Media Player product team for Windows Media Player 11 was
simplification of the interface. Based on the large percentage of posts
here that are about how to roll back to WMP 10, I have to say that they
failed miserabely at that.
