Windows MediaPlayer 11 comment

This new player really honks! I want to replace it with something that works
without clogging the rest of the functionality on my computer. The player
that comes with Napster seems to work much better, and that may be my choice.

I think WMP 11 suffers from the usual MS problem of taking a reasonable
requirement - playing music on a computer - and making it way too complicated
in the hopes of making the software look flashy and cool.

The previous WMPs, while having problems too, didn't seem bent on taking the
user AWAY for the initial use, playing music. Old playlists are difficult to
find and use. The layout is less than visually appealing, and the pop-up
tendencies of the minimized control bar is infuriating!

IMHO, WMP 11 is a giant step backwards, and not is a good way.

What bugs me is that old features disappeared. For instance, I liked
opening up the genre, album, or artist list in the side bar while looking at
something else in the main window. It made switching back and forth very
easy - like the folder tree in windows explorer. Now it won't do that.

Also, when you double click on a song, it should add everything in the
active window to the now playing list. I have thousands of songs in some
playlists, and I don't like having to select them all to get them into the
now playing list so that I can shuffle them.
